Karina's Advent Poster

Keeping Christ in Christmas
For our assignment, also known as our 'Advent Poster' I decided to create a mixed theme. One of the themes used for my poster is the beach in the winter time. I choose the beach because when you look out at a beach, you can't see the other side. It makes you wonder what’s out there, or what’s out there for me? It also shows that Christmas is coming soon, and that is the time of advent. There is a girl standing looking out at the beach in summer clothes. I choose to add her in the photo because it makes the picture have more meaning. It seems as if she's been wondering ever since summer, instead of winter. It has more meaning because she is looking out into the beach and there is also a picture I have added in of a cross. It is meant to portray that the girl is looking out into the beach and thinking and wondering about Christ out lord. I choose Luke 2:10-11 ''Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord,'' because since you can't see the girls facial expression it could look like she's afraid, hopeful and waiting for
Christ the Lord.

  1. Karina, this is a beautiful and meaningful composition but...

    1. Did you take the photo? We were not allowed to steal anything off of the internet.

    2. I am not convinced that a barefoot girl on a beach communicates the concept of Christmas to a Canadian audience.

You've demonstrated good skills, but this time you seem to have missed the mark as far as concept goes. Also, please see the rubric for spelling issues.
