For this assignment, I choose to use the most recent photo of myself taken off of Facebook. When we first started this assignment I was very confused and didn't know how to do anything! After fiddling around with the tools I found the threshold adjustment and finally got a start on my assignment. Cutting the background out was easier then I thought it was, ever since Mrs. Reidel taught the class about the 'Magnetic Lasso Tool' deleting things have become easy. I used to use the magic wand and take forever to remove a background !After picking out my colours, I realized that you can only hold two colours at once. I solved this problem by opening a word document and saving the code and opacity of the colour. At the end of it all, I am very satisfied in the outcome! :)

Karina, you've posted the stretched version which is not nearly as attractive as the non-stretched one. Yo didn't really explain your colour choices. They are very "soft" colours, usually called "pastel" which sets a certain mood. You need to learn how to explain this. I love the detail in your sweater. You are also excellent at cropping with that Rule of Thirds concept in mind. The extra space on the right makes the photo more interesting. Now you just need to learn how to explain you thought processes.
